Bodrum is a picturesque town on the southwest aegean coast of Turkey. The Mediterranean style white houses with purple bougainvilleas and the massive Castle of the Knights of Saint John attracts the visitors.bThe city was called Halicarnassus in the ancient times and was housing the Mausoleum which was one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.
In these days Bodrum is also very famous with its traditional wooden type of Gulets built locally in the shipyards. The Blue Voyage on a Gulet is a chance of having an unforgettable summer holiday along the coast of the Aegean and the Mediterranean.
Shopping around the town is a very pleasant way of spending the day and the nightlife of Bodrum is lively with its bars, discos and restaurants bringing people together.
The town has low humidity and has fresh air with plenty of oxygen. The historian Strabon has a rightful saying about Datça’s weather:”God would send his beloved servants to Datça to live longer”.
Cnidus was a major Dorian city, famous for its temples, theatres, statue of Aphrodite, the world's first observatory and medical school. The rocky island facing the shore at the new site was joined to the mainland with a causeway, creating two deep harbours on either side of the isthmus, one on the Aegean and the other on the Mediterranean.
Bencik is located at the narrowest part of the peninsula that divides Hisaronu Gulf from the Gokova Gulf but it is closer to Hisaronu.
A nice beach covered with pine trees, you will have have a lunch break.
Mesudiye and Hayıtbükü are the places on the south coast of Datça peninsula for either a lunch break or overnight stay during your journey.
You will find typical village houses, some small pensions and also summer houses  all along the beautiful beach.
The sea water ebbs and flows together shows the rise of the natural structure. There are also ruins of the ancient period on the Island. ( Maiden’s Beach )
Selimiye has a natural lagoon which is the spawning ground of many fish types in Aegean Sea. There are also many hidden inlets where you can anchor during your Blue Cruise.
Dirsek Bükü is a nice peaceful bay with its clear water you can enjoy your day and may also stay overnight.
Bozburun is a small fishing town where villagers used to collect sponges but now they consider it to be too dangerous, so nowadays, they work in boat building which is very famous for the yachts they have built.
The island in the south of Bodrum is covered with pine trees on the hills. The island is also popular with its cave which has a natural hot water spring and a well healing mud for skin diseases.
With its crystal clear blue water the bay is called "Aquarium" by the people. It is a nice and calm place to stay overnight for the gulet cruisers.
